Terms of Service

The agreement between you and us when you join the waitlist, create an account or use the Wordy app.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Wordy is a desktop application and the website wordytrainer.com, made and operated by ARMA OUTDOOR d.o.o. Beograd, Vladimira Popovića 38, 1st floor, 11070 Novi Beograd, Serbia (company number / MB 21811343, tax ID / PIB 113148594). "We", "us" and "Wordy" mean that company; "you" means the person using Wordy.

These terms are a contract between you and us. By joining the waitlist, creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Wordy. How we handle your personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy.

2. Private beta

Wordy is currently in private beta. That means:

• access is by invitation; we decide when and to whom invitations go out, and we may close the waitlist or the beta at any time,
• nothing is charged while the beta runs; paid plans start only when we announce the public launch,
• features may change, break, or be removed, and we may reset or wipe beta data with reasonable notice,
• if you give us feedback, ideas or bug reports, you agree we may use them freely to improve Wordy without owing you anything.

If we offer beta participants a discount when paid plans launch, we will say so in the invitation; it is not promised by these terms.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old, or have a parent's or guardian's permission, to create an account.
• One account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in details or let others use your account.
• Give us a real email address that you control; it is how we reach you about your account and billing.
• Keep your password safe. Anything done through your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been compromised.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app. Deleting it ends any subscription at the end of the current paid period.

4. Plans, prices and payment

Prices are in euro and include VAT where it applies; the exact amount is shown before you confirm a purchase. Payments are handled by our payment processor, whose own terms also apply to the transaction. We do not see or store your full card details.

Renewal. Pro and Year plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; the plan then stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for and is not renewed.

Price changes. We may change prices for future periods. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect. Changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.

Promo codes. Codes we issue — class codes for teachers and their students, and any others — apply to the plan and period stated with the code, once per account, cannot be combined with another code or offer and have no cash value. We may withdraw a code if it is shared publicly or misused.

Teachers. A teacher who contacts us from a school or course address can receive a class code that gives their students 30% off a paid plan, and a free Pro account for themselves for as long as their students are active on Wordy. We may ask for reasonable proof of teaching and may end the free account if no students remain active.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails we will let you know and retry. If it still fails after a reasonable time, your account drops to the Free plan; your words and progress stay in your library.

5. Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Serbia, you have the right to withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of your first payment without giving a reason. Tell us by email at hello@wordytrainer.com within those 14 days and we will refund the payment in full, even if you have already used the plan.

Renewal payments and periods after the first 14 days are not refundable, except where the law of your country requires it or where we end the service as described below. If we have made a mistake with your billing, we will of course put it right.

6. Your words and content

Word lists, groups, favourites and anything else you put into Wordy remain yours. You give us permission to store, copy and process that content only as needed to run the service for you, for example to sync it between devices and to schedule reviews. We do not claim any other rights to it.

You are responsible for what you upload. Do not add content that you have no right to use, that is unlawful, or that contains personal data about other people. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

7. Wordy Helper

Wordy Helper builds word lists with the help of a third-party AI model. Generated lists can contain mistakes: wrong translations, odd transcriptions, words that do not quite fit the topic. Treat them as a starting point and check anything you intend to rely on. Wordy is a vocabulary tool, not a language course, and does not replace a teacher, dictionary or certified translation.

Helper usage on paid plans is subject to fair-use limits that keep the service affordable for everyone; we will show you when you are close to them.

8. What you may not do

• Use Wordy for anything unlawful, or to harass, deceive or harm anyone.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code of the app, except where the law expressly allows it.
• Scrape, bulk-download or interfere with the service, or get around usage limits, plan restrictions or security measures.
• Resell, rent or share access to Wordy, or use it to build a competing service.
• Use the Wordy name, logo or materials without our written permission.

9. Our intellectual property

The Wordy app, website, name, logo, design and all the code and material we created are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. For as long as you comply with these terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you control, for your own vocabulary learning. Nothing else is granted.

10. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Wordy running, but it is a small product and we cannot promise it will be available without interruption or error. We may change, add or remove features at any time; during the beta this will happen often.

If we ever decide to shut Wordy down, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, refund the unused part of any prepaid period, and give you a way to export your word lists before the end.

11. Disclaimer and limits of liability

Wordy is provided as it is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the app, the website or Wordy Helper output, including about fitness for a particular purpose or the accuracy of translations.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from Wordy or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or €25 if you have paid nothing. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost data you did not back up, lost profits or lost time.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury, for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer in your country of residence.

12. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Wordy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we end the service; where reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. On closure your content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy, and any refund due under these terms is paid.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and nothing here takes those rights away from you.

If something goes wrong, please write to us first at hello@wordytrainer.com; most problems can be sorted out in a few emails. Disputes that cannot be resolved that way go to the competent court in Belgrade, Serbia, unless the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring the dispute before your local courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Wordy develops. For changes that matter to you we will send a notice to your account email at least 14 days before they take effect; if you do not agree, you can cancel before that date and we will refund any prepaid period not yet used. Continuing to use Wordy after the date means you accept the updated terms. The effective date at the top always shows the current version.
